PU-2 Pigging Valve Operating Procedures

 

Launching Sequence

Close valve and vent body cavity chamber with vent fitting

Remove cap and load pig with bullet nose up as shown

Replace cap and verify vent fitting is closed.

Open valve and launch pig down stream.

Receiving Sequence

Receive pig with valve in the open position.

Close valve and vent body cavity chamber with vent fitting.

Remove cap and and pig.

Replace cap and verify vent fitting is closed.

The above operating procedures are for illustration only.  Operations should be performed according to the Operating Manual, supplied with valve purchases.  Once valve has been vented and all pressure has been relieved, the drain (located at bottom of valve) may be opened to drain the valve as required.
