Depth Medias in Lube Oil Filtration

Densely ram-packed cotton media provides 5-7 micron control with 95% to 97% efficiency for bypass filter installations.

The depth media elements will hold up to 3-5 times its original weight in contaminants.
The full-flow filter elements are composed of a high flow media (CP
section) and a dense media section. The high flow media (controlled pressure section) permits highly viscous cold oil to flow through the element and filter during cold engine starts.

Whether the element is rated at 5-7 or 10-15 micron control. Nelson/Winslow elements have the ability to ABsorb and ADsorb corrosive contaminants such as acids, gums, lacquers and varnishes.
4. These depth media elements can be chemically charged to neutralize organic acids in the lube oil.
Application of these elements is for digester and landfill gas engines. The
applications should be checked with the factory and oil analysis interpretations will by affected. |
